Hatchet Rydas Halloween Party

This is a Private Event with a few special performances and is open to all HRCC members. The event is on november 1st, the day following Hallowicked. Any members interested in coming to this event must R.S.V.P. with ReD - Detroit Don. There will be approxiametely 100 VIP Tickets handed out at Hallowicked @ The Fillmore. There will be beer/liqour/snacks for free while they last, aslo B.Y.O.B. and Liqour, absolutely no glass bottles! 18 and over / Drinking - 21 with photo I.D. The event is in Downtown Detroit at an awesome venue! Happy Halloween from Detroit Hatchet Rydas CC !!!

I know this is sumthin' we all talked 'bout a while back, but the idea of gettin' all the money together from everybody then orderin' the shirts nevr quite panned out. I was in a position with a lil extra bread, so I decided to at least get a short run started. I did a run of 50, all in black. I know this ain't enough for everyone , but if we can get these sold I'll be able to do another run before the Gathering (and maybe even some other colors).
Easiest way to handle this is chapter by chapter. I'm hoping...?...?...?, um, ah, that maybe each chapter Don can email me an oreder of what your crew wants. We got sizes from L - 5XL, enough to fit any size or shape ninja out there. They're goin' for $20.00 each. Cricket set up a PayPal account accessible thru sailor_black_fire@yahoo.com to make paymnets easier, but money orders can be used, but they need to be made out to Cricket (her real name will be sent in as reply to email orders).

Figured it was time to update our hatchets. I tightened up the overall logo and type I've slightly reconfigured the the top oh the 'H' to look more like an 'H' than an 'A', and I've completely updated the Hatchets with some bangin' new metal handles and some cleaner blades. Gimme some feedback y'all let me know whatcha think?

Welcome to the show! Shangri-La of the Dark Carnival! The Gathering dates have finally been announced and the Hatchet Rydas are going full steam ahead to throw an ultra fresh car show and BBQ!
Not just the Hathet Rydas, but Killa Kustomz out of Houston,TX are teaming up to roast ya asses. Just trying to add more freshness to one of the already freshest events there is, we're doing a full-on car show and a massive BB-Q! Anyone's welcome and it's free to enter, and there will be trophies for multiple classes, such as sounds, rims, graphics, a hooptie class, and the coveted, Best of Show! Plus, there'll be some extra goodies just for entering. All voted on by the juggalos at the Gathering. Each ballot enters the voter into a free jersey raffle.
Now did we say BBQ? Fuck yeah! And we MEAN BB-Q! The plans are for a couple hundred pounds of either a pig or a cow to throw on a HUGE grill for the sole purpose of stuffing fat kidz. Cars, bikes, and quads will be on display all four days, and final judging and BB-Q will be Sunday.
As a part of all this, Psycho Bug Joe out of Louisville, KY wants to let anyone entering the car show know that his car (the '76 Bug) will ONLY be on display. He will not be entering it in the car show. They have, however, been seriously working on a new project and plan to unveil it at this upcoming Gathering. We're all waiting to see hoe devastating it is. They always skool it in the 'Ville.
It's getting closer to the Gathering and we need everyones help to promote the Shangri La Resort Myspace Page. Red, Lokyei, Justin and myself are workin' our asses off to prepared for this. We got some major shit planned, so it's time to get all the ninjas attention. Get banners on your pages and start sending out bulletins! One of our events will be a car show and bar-b-que, it's free to register and enter and there will be trophies for multiple classes. For ANYONE interested in entering, get us your info now - Name, what type of ride and mods, and how to contact ya, it'll allow us to be better prepared. New Ninjas in Charge

Announcing some major freshness.O.B. (me) has officially step aside as Don of Detroit to better handle the Don Mega and Vice President responsibilities. The unaimous decision for new Don was our homie , ReD. as 5X from Cleveland said "I honestly dont think there is any other ninja out there with as much heart and devotion into this club, you are not just in the club homie you live and bleed this club! there are alot of others here that help out alot to, but man you overtime it and i have so much respect for you man!! you have been the one to inspire me to pushing all i can into this as well....so with that said CONGRADULATIONS! woop woop homie, and thats real "! This is one down-ass ninja who has truly worked hard for the fam, and deserves every bit of this rank. Much luv and respect.
Along with this earthshakin' news in Detroit, we have also to announce the promotions of Caos (jimmy) to Don of our Cleveland Chapter & his newly appointed shogun, 5x (shane). These two Ninjas have really taken charge of that group and get them off and rollin' in a great direction. They've already got some big shit planned, so give 'em whatever support ya can.
We also got news from the Carolinas. A crew formerly known as Team Psychopathic, a part of the Juggalo Militia has decided to join the Hatchet Rydas. They been rollin' together for some years now, and know how to keep they're shit str8, so let's give mad props and support as they get thier chapter started hoppin' down south there.

Sorry this took so long, but we've been trying some new techniques on trying to make the website better. Some have worked, others still need some tweaking, but all in all, everything still works pretty damn fresh. We'll still be working on some more improvements, but it might be a while before they're implied. New programming is like using a new brand of condom; you don't know if it'll work or not. Just take that risk and hope you don't have any kids! I think I'm just boring all the ninjas, so I'll just shut the hell up and let y'all get back to browsing our fresh, fresh pages!

Morton's List Gathering Quests

Center Detroit, in consultation with The Empire of Nothing Inner Circle, have laid out a general plan for Camp Karma and Morton's List events at The Gathering of the Juggalos 2009. What follows are key bullet points of this plan:
- Camp Karma will again be part of The Shangri-La Resort (much in the way that camps are part of villages at Burning Man).
- Camp Karma will consist of two parts:
- A public tent where all interaction with event attendees will take place.
- A private camping area for anyone interested in camping with us. Contact Cricket at sailor_black_fire@yahoo.com if you want space for your tent/car/RV at Camp Karma. All Camp members are expected to contribute to the camp in some way, such as set up, tear down and putting in time running the public tent.
- Thursday through Sunday, 12pm-6pm, Camp Karma's public tent will contain a merchandise table staffed by at least one person. Any time only one person is on duty a "breaker" (someone who can relieve the main person for bathroom/food breaks, etc.) will be available. Contact Cricket at sailor_black_fire@yahoo.com to sign up for shifts in the public tent.
- During the above times, the merchandise seller will also be in charge of distributing game packets to passersby. Any additional personnel will be tasked out to distribute game packets at other places/events around the Gathering grounds or to assist the merchandise seller when this is deemed more helpful.
- Game packets will consist of two parts:
- An informational flyer or other method of communicating the rules of the game and providing the recipient with one or more specific missions.
- One or more wearable item(s) identifying the recipient's team/clan/tribe within the game.
- The game will be based on Morton's List / Random Reality and will be designed to spread virally through the Gathering. Participants must wear their game affiliation openly and score victory points for their team/clan/tribe by completing missions/Quests. All missions/Quests eventually end at Camp Karma, where points are kept track of on a publicly displayed board by camp members. The game is playable 24/7, but points are only accrued when Camp Karma's public tent is open and at certain Shangri-La Resort events.
- The game will tie into some Shangri-la Resort events by encouraging participants to come and earn points in various ways, including a head count of present team/clan/tribe members.
- Further Camp Karma based events may be scheduled in the tradition of the Morton's List Midnight Events of the past.
At this early stage of planning, Center Detroit and The Empire of Nothing Inner Circle are primarily interested in determining who among the Global Inner Circle is planning on attending the Gathering and is interested in helping out with Camp Karma and the ambitious and potentially game changing activities planned.

We've just recently added an 'Artist of the Month' page, givin' props to some of the latest performers makin' serious headway on the circuit today. We'll be showcasing one artist/group per month, wtih bio's, interviews, music and videos and contact info.
This month's featured artist is Mr. Y.U.G., who's been tearin' it up here in the Detroit area for awhile. He's just recently released his latest projet WEIGHTIN', which if ya ain't heard yet, give it a spin, it's mad fresh. TOYS FOR TOTS - Even 'Lil Rydas need Help

SHANGRI-LA RESORT – GATHERING OF THE JUGGALOS ‘08

I know I’m a little late on this, but better late than never! The 1st ever Shangri-La Resort held at the Gathering of the Juggalos 2008 in Cave-In-Rock, IL went off with a Faygo-exploding bang! Put on through the combined efforts of Killa Kustoms, Hatchet Rydas Car Club, Psychopathic Bike Rydas, Morton’s List, 3 Star Ninjas, and Juggalo News (damn, that’s a lotta ninjas), this year’s Gathering had the fresh-o-meter going off the charts!
Not only were there kick-ass rides, 4-wheelin’ quad bikes, and lowrider pedal bikes on display, but also Morton’s List quests, million dollar bill prize giveaways, a movie night, live performances, a V.I.P. area, and a stocked bar. With all this crazy shit going on, where do you start to describe it all?
The first day was mostly setting everything up and deciding where it would all be placed, which went smoothly, aside from the occasional head whack with a pole. The main attractions during that first day was the Joker’s Card bikes built by the Detroit chapter of HRCC, the motorcycle and quad bikes built by Killa Kustoms, then a fire Morton’s List quest and at midnight, long-time players of Morton’s List, Feng Long and Destiny, were hitched at a torchlight wedding surrounded by members of the Inner Circle. It was incredibly fresh and the karma was at an all-time high.
Friday had the same two attractions from the previous day, with one thing added to them: a million dollar bill prize giveaway. Fake million dollar bills had been printed up in stacks (and I mean stacks), marked with a pen that could only be seen with a UV light, and if you had a bill with a mark on it, you won a random prize. These prizes were anything from decals to T-shirts, all donated by the groups putting on this already-spectacular event. The hour of quest had dawned again that night as the Inner Circle gathered for the pirates vs. ninjas vs. zombies quest, hosted by Cricket (HRCC), and Mutant XIII (3 Star Ninjas). While the ninjas and zombies (the only pirate was eaten by the zombies) were out completing their quest, the Shangri-La Resort started to run The Dark Knight for a Friday night viewing.
Saturday became the ultimate hype day as random rappers and groups visited the Shangri-La Resort to get their names on the play list for the live performances that were to happen later that night. The stage that all the artists were to perform on was actually a long flat bed trailer that Justin from Killa Kustoms had brought his creations on. The Saturday night line-up went as follows: Dirty White Boys, Beastmaster, Rusty Nail, Kraz of the Ork, Kryptik, Playaz Lounge Crew, and Modifi Sci. Unfortunately, this reporter (that’d be me, Cricket!), didn’t stay the fuck up long enough to see ANY of these die-hard artists perform! From what I was told the following morning by my husband, O.B., everyone who saw the show said that everybody schooled it hardcore!
Sunday, the last OFFICIAL day of the Gathering, was slightly tuned down from Saturday since everyone had partied their asses off the night before and almost had NO sleep. It was the final day of the Shangri-La Resort and the random prizes from the million-dollar bill giveaway were rapidly depleting, but no one was ready to quit yet! Anticipating the last concert of the weekend, being ICP, was what most of the Juggalos were looking forward to, but some were wondering what those at the resort were going to pull out next. Right after everyone started leaving the main stage area after ICP’s set, Rachael Paul raced to the stage to school the crowd with a solo performance and she kicked it!
Immediately following was Rude Boi and Wrecking Ball, Medula (one of my favorites), Ajax (a local Detroit Artist), Illuminati, Doughmaster, MoFo, Modifi Sci (once again), and Dead Life. Sunday night’s show topped Saturday’s by a karmic rating of 10+! Even when the performances were done for the weekend, there were STILL ninjas running around the resort, partying, getting toasted, and just having a great time together. Aside from a few minor setbacks with the stage equipment, the entire weekend went off without a hitch. What are these groups, who came together to bring some mad freshness to the Gathering, going to pull off next year? It can only be something bigger and better! The Shangri-La Resort will be around as long as there are Gatherings of the Juggalos! Much Clown Love! Woop Woop!
